Government Relations Director
Key Responsibilities Government & Regulatory Engagement Lead engagement with key Thai government agencies including BOI, EGAT, MEA/PEA, MDES, NBTC, EECO, Ministry of Labor, and local authorities Support regulatory approvals, investment incentive applications, utility coordination, and infrastructure-related permits Represent Galaxy in government discussions, industry forums, and strategic policy engagements related to AI, digital infrastructure, and data centers Maintain ongoing senior-level relationships across relevant ministries and agencies Strategic Infrastructure Coordination Support Galaxy’s power access and utility coordination strategy for hyperscale data center projects Engage with energy and infrastructure stakeholders regarding grid allocation, utility planning, and long-term expansion requirements Monitor evolving Thai regulatory and policy developments affecting high-density power usage, AI infrastructure, and digital economy investments Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all government engagement activities comply with FCPA, Thai anti-corruption laws, and internal compliance standards Identify regulatory and political risks impacting project execution and expansion timelines Coordinate with internal legal, infrastructure, and executive teams on regulatory strategy and government-facing matters Requirements 12+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or public affairs within Thailand Existing senior-level relationships across relevant Thai government agencies and infrastructure stakeholders Prior active engagement experience with Thailand’s energy or utility regulatory ecosystem, especially involving large-scale infrastructure, telecom, industrial, or data center projects Strong understanding of Thai regulatory approval processes and government operating environment Proven ability to operate independently in high-stakes regulatory environments Native or near-native Thai fluency required Strong English communication skills required Mandarin Chinese is a plus Preferred Background Candidates from the following sectors are strongly preferred: Data Centers / Digital Infrastructure Energy & Utilities Telecom Infrastructure Industrial Parks / EEC Projects Large-scale Infrastructure Development Technology Investment Projects Seniority Requirement This is a senior strategic role.
